Estrada, a sophomore from Santa Ana Valley High, was one of the top runners in Southern California last year but spent much of the season chasing Riverside’s Charlotte Mayock. Mayock has since graduated and Estrada is ready to assert herself as the area’s top runner. She won the Fresno Invitational Saturday, covering the 3.1-mile course in 18 minutes 56 seconds. Her time was 30 seconds better than she ran last year in the same race.
