Concordia Shuts Down Cal Tech in Men’s Soccer

Matt Stiles took three shots and scored each time as Concordia defeated Cal Tech, 7-0, in a nonconference men’s soccer game Tuesday at Concordia.

Stiles scored on a cross with three minutes left in the first half to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. He then scored on a 20-yard blast early in the second half, and headed another shot into the net late in the game.

Shay Fox added two goals and an assist, Chris Miller had a goal and two assists and Nathan Mercier scored the other goal for Concordia (1-2-1).

UC Irvine 3, Cal State Dominguez Hills 0--Michael Mucino scored his fourth goal of the season with a 20-yard shot at the nine-minute mark for UC Irvine. Pat Lee scored the second goal six minutes later and Gustav Gratzer ended the Anteaters’ scoring in the 82nd minute. Scott Zinser had seven saves for UC Irvine (3-2-1).
