Pacifica (1-0) at Huntington Beach (1-0), 7 p.m.
Huntington Beach shut out Downey, 17-0, but expect the Oilers to have a tougher time with Pacifica’s offense. Pacifica has a well-balanced attack led by quarterback J.D. Stern, who passed for 289 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-22 victory over Woodbridge last week. The Mariners’ defense also scored twice on interception returns. Huntington Beach running back Jason Locklin will be the Mariner defense’s first priority. He ran for 107 yards in 19 carries.
