Volunteers Sought for Community Cleanup

Share

The Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee is looking for a few good neighbors to help clean up the streets and parks Saturday at Community Cleanup Day.

A breakfast for volunteers will begin at 7:30 a.m. at 5800 Owensmouth Ave., on the east side of Warner Ranch Park, near the new bandstand. Organizers expect nearly 200--the largest group of volunteers to ever participate in the event.

The event is held twice a year by the chamber, in conjunction with the Neighborhood Beautification Program, a group of volunteers who regularly clean up municipal areas of Woodland Hills.

Volunteers will pick up trash, pull weeds and paint over graffiti at 15 to 20 assigned areas. They will work until about 1:30 p.m., when lunch will be served.
