Police Seek Suspect in Bank Robbery
Police are looking for an armed man who demanded cash from a bank teller Wednesday and fled on foot with a bag of money.
Police said the robber approached a teller at Union Bank at 4125 Ball Road at 3:30 p.m. and opened his jacket to show a handgun in his waistband. He demanded cash and the teller filled a satchel with an undisclosed amount.
The robber ran north on Via Largo toward a residential neighborhood, Cypress Police Sgt. David Birozy said.
The suspect is described as white, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet 2 and 220 pounds, with brown hair cut close to his scalp. He wore wire-rimmed glasses and a brown suit.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cypress Police Department at (714) 229-6600.
