Police Arrest Teen in Man’s Stabbing
A 13-year-old Ventura boy was being held Friday in county Juvenile Hall on suspicion of stabbing a man who was taking an evening stroll with a woman companion.
The boy was arrested Thursday at Ventura High School in connection with the stabbing of 20-year-old Angel Medina Duran in the chest on Tuesday evening, a police spokesman said.
Medina was walking near Simpson Street and Ventura Avenue with his live-in partner, when he was attacked by four youths in their early teens, the spokesman said.
Medina was not seriously injured, and the boy will likely be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, the spokesman said. The other three suspects have not been arrested, he said.
