Julian 22, Capistrano Valley 15--Two fumble recoveries that resulted in 10 points gave Julian the victory over Capistrano Valley Christian Saturday night at Saddleback College.

After a scoreless opening quarter, Capistrano Valley took a 7-0 lead on an 11-yard touchdown run by Bryant Wolfsberger. The lead was short-lived, however, as Julian marched back on four plays. The 1 minute 30 second scoring drive, set up by Joey Bryans’ 41-yard kickoff return, was capped by Luis Aguilar’s nine-yard touchdown run. The extra-point attempt failed.

On the ensuing series, Capistrano Valley lost the first of two costly fumbles as Julian took over inside the 46. Six plays and two first downs later, the drive stalled and Julian settled for a 26-yard field goal by Nick Lynch.
