3.0 Magnitude Quake Rolls Through Area
An aftershock from the Northridge earthquake gently rattled the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday morning, Caltech seismologists said.
The 3.0 magnitude tremor struck at 11:23 a.m. It was centered three miles northeast of the city of San Fernando. No damage was reported, Caltech officials said.
There have been more than 13,000 aftershocks since the Northridge quake struck on Jan. 17, 1994, with a 6.7 magnitude force.
