Dispute in Home Ends in Stabbing Death

A verbal dispute among several men inside a Shoshone Avenue home early Thursday led to the stabbing death of a Granada Hills man, police said.
Anthony Sculati, 27, died of upper-torso wounds about 12:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police Det. Mike Oppelt said.
No arrests have been made, but Oppelt said investigators are “following up on several leads.” The exact nature of the dispute--and why it escalated into a fistfight and stabbing--is not known, he said.
Oppelt said it was probably not a home invasion. “Some of the men knew each other,” he said.
