Dispute in Home Ends in Stabbing Death

Share

A verbal dispute among several men inside a Shoshone Avenue home early Thursday led to the stabbing death of a Granada Hills man, police said.

Anthony Sculati, 27, died of upper-torso wounds about 12:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police Det. Mike Oppelt said.

No arrests have been made, but Oppelt said investigators are “following up on several leads.” The exact nature of the dispute--and why it escalated into a fistfight and stabbing--is not known, he said.

Oppelt said it was probably not a home invasion. “Some of the men knew each other,” he said.
