Raul Diaz Arce’s goal in the 82nd minute gave D.C. United a 2-1 victory Saturday over the Tampa Bay Mutiny and a spot in Major League Soccer’s championship game on Oct. 20.

D.C. United won the first two games of the best-of-three Eastern Conference final and will face either the Galaxy or Kansas City in the MLS championship game.

Tampa Bay opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Steve Ralston drove home a rebound of Frank Hejduk’s attempt that hit the post.

Williams also set up Diaz Arce’s game-winning header.
