A Breezy, Warm Week Forecast

Share

Valley residents will be feeling some light winds for most of the week, but weather forecasters said they will not be the Santa Anas that usually visit this time of year.

The winds this week--a result of air rushing from a high-pressure system to the north to a low-pressure system to the south--will reach up to 25 mph.

Unlike the dry Santa Anas, these winds will raise temperatures only slightly, according to National Weather Service officials.

“We’re expecting some slight warming, but not much,” said meteorologist Dedric Walker.

Temperatures should remain in the upper 80s to low 90s through Thursday, with the winds continuing at least until then.

Today’s high temperatures are expected to be 91 in Woodland Hills, 86 in Van Nuys and 85 in Burbank.
