Canoga Park 14, North Hollywood 8--Defensive back Quantee Stansberry’s interception on the Canoga Park five-yard line with 59 seconds left to play salvaged a Hunter victory at North Hollywood.
Stansberry led Canoga Park (3-3, 2-1) with seven tackles and had a 47-yard interception return.
Hunter quarterback Brian Hickman completed 11 of 15 passes for 112 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown to receiver Kevin Carlsen, who had three receptions for 54 yards.
Trailing, 14-0, at halftime, North Hollywood (3-3, 2-1) rallied behind running back Dante Clay, who rushed for 146 yards in 19 carries, including a 23-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
North Hollywood had two chances to score in the fourth quarter. A drive that took more than eight minutes ended on downs at the Canoga Park five with four minutes left, before Stansberry’s interception.
