Shaheen, a two-time Fulbright scholar, is an authority on the impact of stereotyped media images on the racial and ethnic groups being portrayed. His essays have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. He has also been featured as a guest on “Nightline,” “Good Morning America” and “Larry King Live.”
