Super Scoopers
The recent rash of disastrous fires throughout Southern California once again points up the need for more water bombers. The two Super Scoopers rented from Canada just do not serve the needs. With what is being spent to contain these conflagrations, 100 surplus Air Force bombers could be converted to do the same thing and would be available on a permanent basis, complete with flight crews. Firestorms could then be better managed with a massive onslaught when the fires are just beginning to build. And, stationed around the country, they would be available within a matter of hours.
