Woman Struck by Bus in Costa Mesa Dies
COSTA MESA —
A 47-year-old homeless woman who was struck by an Orange County Transportation Authority bus died Friday from her injuries, police said.
Linda Baker was crossing the street near 19th Street and Harbor Boulevard about 7 a.m. Tuesday when she was struck. Baker was in a crosswalk.
The bus driver, who was not cited, apparently was driving through a green light, and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Preliminary examinations revealed that the woman died from head trauma, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.
