Rucchin Has Mixed Feelings About Goal
Instead of pumping his fist or raising his arms, center Steve Rucchin reacted with little emotion Friday after scoring his first goal of the season.
Certainly, he was happy to score after going 12 games without a goal and being scratched for the next three games, but he wasn’t sure how to react.
“It was a good feeling, but it’s only one goal in 13 games,” Rucchin said of his first-period goal in the Ducks’ 7-4 victory over the Kings.
Rucchin, a 19-goal scorer last season, was expected to give the Ducks additional scoring this season. When it didn’t happen, Rucchin found himself out of the lineup.
“It was a terrible feeling not being able to get out there and help the team win,” Rucchin said.
