Boys & Girls Club Council Names New Leader
David Luna of Santa Paula was chosen to serve as the 1997 president of the Coastal Area Council for the Boys & Girls Club of America.
The council--which covers the area from Simi Valley north to Paso Robles and east to Bakersfield--represents 12 Boys & Girls Clubs at more than 30 locations.
Luna, the principal at Barbara Webster Elementary School, has served in a variety of positions with the Santa Paula Boys & Girls Club over the last five years, including board president.
The Coastal Area Council meets annually to provide training and networking opportunities to Boys & Girls Club board members.
