2 Hit by Rifle Fire Through Door
A 24-year-old Santa Ana man with a rifle shot two men through their apartment door Tuesday night after the gunman had quarreled with them earlier in the day, according to Fullerton police.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the unidentified man fired four rounds from an M-1 rifle through an apartment door in the 3000 block of Garnet Lane, said Lt. Danny Becerra of the Fullerton Police Department. Both victims were struck in the legs by bullets.
The three men had argued earlier in the day, but investigators did not have a motive for the shooting.
The victims were taken by ambulance to Placentia Linda Community Hospital for treatment.
The gunman fled the scene of the shooting in a light brown or gold-colored 1980s Ford Bronco, Becerra said.
