The Vector Control District oversees management of mosquitoes, flies and other potentially dangerous insects.

“I’m pleased that Melinda has agreed to serve as my appointee to the district,” Yaroslavsky said in a written statement. “As an area resident and community leader, a trained scientist, an entrepreneur who founded and heads up her own environmental consultancy, and an active equestrian, she’ll be a great asset in their efforts.”
