Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas put in less than a day’s work and the Buffalo Bills still had no problem putting away the New York Jets.

Kelly stuck around long enough to throw three touchdown passes, and Steve Tasker had six catches for 160 yards and two scores to lead the Bills to a 35-10 victory Sunday for their fourth consecutive win.

With Kelly and Thomas sidelined with first-half injuries, Tasker put together the best performance of his career before he left the game with an injury. The former special teams ace caught touchdowns from Kelly and backup Todd Collins. Tasker left the game in the second with a bruised knee, but will find out the severity later this week.

“I’ve said it over, and over and over,” Kelly said. “Nobody in the league can cover Steve Tasker. He runs great routes. This couldn’t happen to a better guy.”

Kelly threw two scoring passes to Andre Reed and left the game after re-injuring his right hamstring on a 19-yard touchdown pass to Tasker with 15 seconds left in the first half.

Thomas bruised his lower left leg with 4:40 remaining in the first quarter. Thomas’ injury appears to be more serious, and he needed help leaving the locker room after the game.

Buffalo (9-3) didn’t need either star in the second half against the Jets. Andre Reed had four catches for 61 yards and two scores, and rookie Eric Moulds had a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

By halftime, Buffalo had a 21-3 lead, while New York folded. The Jets (1-11) moved one game closer to getting the first overall pick in the NFL draft for the second successive year.
