Outlook: The Griffins return seven starters from last season, when they were disappointed with their tie in the final. Their goal is to leave the field at Cerritos Gahr a winner. The biggest question for the Griffins is who will score since they lost their two best scorers--the league’s co-most valuable offensive players Carrie Shinen and Andrea Sievers--to graduation after last season. Hammoud, a first-team All-Southern Section selection, will provide leadership. Tredway, Ferguson and Savelkoul were all-league selections.
