Rainy Weather Should End for the Weekend

You can put away your raincoats, but not your winter coats.
Thursday’s drizzle, which may repeat early today, should be gone by this afternoon. But that doesn’t mean the weekend will be toasty.
“It’s going to be a little bit warmer, but not a drastic jump,” said Mark Mulholland, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., which provides forecasts for The Times. “It’s not going to get real sunny, but I don’t think you’ll have that drizzle either.”
The drizzle in question shrouded most of Orange County in a dreary blanket of mist through much of Thursday afternoon. Caused by a cold front moving down the West Coast, it kept temperatures at 60 to 65 degrees and created lots of moisture, although none of it enough to measure.
According to Mulholland, the drizzle should lift by this afternoon, bringing temperatures today and through the weekend to the upper 60s to low 70s with fair to partly cloudy skies.
