Clipper update--They’ve lost eight of their last nine games, including a nine-point defeat at New York Saturday night. Rookie center Lorenzen Wright, starting his third consecutive game, was benched in the second half along with guard Terry Dehere. Wright had four points and one rebound in 14 minutes and Dehere failed to score in eight minutes.
Cavalier update--Cleveland, which is allowing a league-low 80.8 points a game, held the Orlando Magic to a league-record 57 points in a 27-point victory Wednesday night at Orlando. The Cavaliers set a franchise record by holding 14 teams under 100 points, starting with the final six games of last season and the first eight of this season. Cleveland has given up 100 or more points only once this season.
