Clipper update--They’ve lost three of four games since losing center Stanley Roberts because of a back injury. Rookie swingman Lorenzen Wright, who has started three games at center in place of Roberts, has averaged 7.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in four games. Guard Malik Sealy has missed 16 of 21 shots in two games after sitting out two games because of a sprained right ankle.

Maverick update--They’ve won two in a row against the Clippers and three of their last four. Forward Jamal Mashburn has been activated and is expected to play tonight after missing eight games because of a broken right cheekbone. To make room for him, Fred Roberts was put on the injured list. Reserve forward Chris Gatling had 27 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes in a 105-94 victory over the Clippers on Nov. 21 at Dallas. Reserve guard Derek Harper had 20 points in Saturday’s victory over the Vancouver Grizzlies.
