Burglars Take Family’s Presents
Deputies at Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Temple station were collecting funds for a Rosemead family whose home was burglarized and cleaned out on Christmas Eve.
The family has three teenage daughters in school, but their father, Manuel Marshall, was just taken off disability and has been unable to find work, deputies said.
Burglars apparently entered through a window of the home in the 3400 block of Brighton Street.
The thieves made off with the family’s Christmas gifts, a television and video recorder along with household furniture, family photo albums, souvenirs and other valuables, deputies said.
They had no estimate of the value of the items stolen.
The daughters are ages 13, 16 and 18, deputies said.
