Good thing Mark Sanford changed his mind about entering last season’s NBA draft. The Washington Huskies needed Sanford’s 26 points, including 18 in the second half, to upset No. 10 Arizona, 92-88, in Seattle.

The Huskies, 12-5 overall and 5-4 in the Pac-10, took an 83-73 lead with 2:48 left, matching their biggest lead of the game. Arizona (13-5, 6-3) closed within 90-88 on Michael Dickerson’s three-point shot with 24 seconds left. Sanford, who was projected to be no better than a second-round pick, then made two free throws with 16 seconds remaining.

Sanford, who has a team-leading 16.4-point average, passed the 25-point mark for the second consecutive game.
