NCAA to Revisit CS Fullerton

Share

A Cal State Fullerton official said Wednesday that NCAA investigators are expected back on the campus next week as part of a preliminary inquiry into the Titan athletic program.

Judith Anderson, executive assistant to university President Milton Gordon, said the two NCAA representatives plan to conduct additional interviews. Anderson declined to name those who would be interviewed or which sport or sports are involved.

The NCAA also conducted interviews on campus in December.

The Times reported in August that two former members of the Fullerton athletic department--former athletic director Bill Shumard and former assistant basketball coach Chris Brazier--had been questioned regarding men’s basketball recruiting in the summer of 1993 when Brad Holland was head coach.
