King update--They are coming off arguably their worst loss of the season in a 3-2 defeat at San Jose on Wednesday. The Kings scored twice in the second period to take a 2-0 lead, but the Sharks scored three goals after a five-minute brawl. The Kings have had problems with injuries and suspensions recently and will have two players in the lineup who have played in the minors most of the season in forwards Nathan LaFayette and Roman Vopat.
Star update--Since defeating the Kings, 7-2, on Jan. 27th, the Stars have struggled in winning only two of their last five games. Former King Neal Broten, who was picked up on waivers by the Stars, has scored two goals in his last two games.
