Laker update--It has been 2 1/2 weeks since Robert Horry sprained his left ankle, and nearly two weeks since he returned to action, but the injury persists. He hurt it slightly again in the first quarter Wednesday, before coming back to finish with 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals at Minnesota, spending a big chunk of his 40 minutes at power forward.

Nugget update--Mark Jackson didn’t make the All-Star game, even though the Western Conference had six guards, but he continues to lead the league in assists. His new backcourt partner, 37-year-old Ricky Pierce, has averaged 16.3 points and shot 56.2% in the six games since replacing injured starter Bryant Stith. Stith returned Tuesday, but as a reserve.
