35 years ago today, Wilt Chamberlain set the single-game scoring record by scoring 100 points in Philadelphia’s 169-147 victory over New York. Chamberlain scored his 100th point with 42 seconds remaining, and the crowd of 4,124 at Hershey, Pa., stormed onto the floor to congratulate him. It took the police 12 minutes to clear the floor so the game could be completed. A look at the box score:
