Nevada defeated the 49ers, 79-55, this season, but it was a two-point game at halftime. Long Beach had trouble controlling Jelena Zrnic, the Wolf Pack’s 6-foot-6 center. Zrnic, who is from Zagreb, Croatia, by way of Northern Idaho College, had 15 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks. Long Beach struggled all season, winning back-to-back games only once. Toby Metoyer is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 14 points.

Irvine won three of its last four games, losing only to conference power UC Santa Barbara, to finish second in the Western Division. But the Anteaters draw a team that has been a problem for them through the years. New Mexico State has beaten Irvine in 12 of the last 13 meetings, including a 62-59 victory this season. Leticia Oseguera averages 17.9 points and 9.7 rebounds to lead Irvine. Wendy Ray averages 13.3 points to lead the Roadrunners.
