No. 12 Arizona Falls to Cal

Randy Duck tied his career high with 22 points and Sean Marks hit a decisive pair of free throws with 21 seconds to play as California defeated No. 12 Arizona, 79-77, Saturday at San Francisco’s Cow Palace.

Tony Gonzalez added a season-high 20 points for Cal (21-8 overall, 12-6 Pac-10), which won its final two regular-season games despite the absence of leading scorer Ed Gray--who broke his foot two weeks ago.

Still, Gray, who averaged 24.8 points to lead the Pac-10, was named player of the year in a vote by conference coaches.

Miles Simon had 24 points to lead the Wildcats (19-9, 11-7), who lost four of their last five conference road games.

No. 23 Stanford 86, Arizona State 63--Tim Young had 23 points and Brevin Knight 21 as the Cardinal (20-7, 12-6) defeated the Sun Devils (9-12, 4-8) at Palo Alto to remain unbeaten in 12 games at home.

Oregon 88, Oregon State 73--Kenya Wilkins scored 24 points as the Ducks (17-10, 8-10) posted a victory over the Beavers (10-19, 3-15) at Eugene.
