Spurs Suspend Maxwell for a Game Over Behavior
San Antonio Spur guard Vernon Maxwell was suspended without pay for one game by the team for an incident during Saturday’s victory over Indiana.
The Spurs said Maxwell made gestures and body language that were not appropriate toward fans at Market Square Arena. Maxwell will miss tonight’s home game against the Houston Rockets.

The NBA fined Milwaukee Buck center Armon Gilliam $7,500 for committing a flagrant foul against Cleveland’s Bob Sura in a game Saturday. Gilliam was immediately ejected from the game. The ejection also carries an automatic $1,000 fine. . . . Teammates, relatives and fans gathered for an emotional funeral service for former Indiana Pacer forward Roger Brown, who helped lead the team to three American Basketball Association championships. About 1,000 people, including several former and current Pacers, attended the service at Market Square Arena for Brown, who died of cancer on March 4.
