Trail Blazer update--They’ve won eight consecutive games, the longest current streak in the NBA. It’s Portland’s longest winning streak in six seasons. The Trail Blazers are undefeated since a New York newspaper reported that Coach P.J. Carlesimo was about to be fired after his team lost 10 of 14 games. Guard Kenny Anderson, who played for Clipper Coach Bill Fitch when he was with the New Jersey Nets, is averaging a team-high 18.3 points and 7.1 assists.
