All ticket applications for the 1998 NCAA Division I men’s basketball West Regional at the Pond were distributed Monday, the first day they were available to the public, Pond and Big West Conference officials said Tuesday.
More than 2,500 applications were distributed at the Pond’s box office. A maximum of eight tickets can be purchased per application, and Big West officials said applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the approximately 8,000 tickets are sold.
The West Regional will be March 19 and 21, 1998.

Jeff Wells was hired as women’s soccer coach at Concordia, school officials announced.
The team’s first season will be this fall. Williams was the girls’ coach at Bolsa Grande High last season. Before that he was an assistant at Central Washington.
