The defending Stanley Cup champions have been tied at home five times--twice by the Ducks and most recently on March 9 in the eighth game of the Ducks’ streak. Teemu Selanne has 16 goals in his last 19 games and is second in the NHL scoring race with 95 points, 10 behind Pittsburgh’s Mario Lemieux. Selanne also is tied for second in goal-scoring with 45, one fewer than Philadelphia’s John LeClair.

Avalanche update--Colorado has the best record in the NHL, already has clinched its second consecutive Pacific Division title and is riding a three-game winning streak. Peter Forsberg has been hot, with eight goals in the last eight games, but has only 21 overall because injuries have limited him to 54 games. Adam Deadmarsh leads the Avalanche with 30 goals. Colorado ranks first in the league in penalty killing and third in power-play efficiency.
