Spotlight: Right Start to Take It Slow

Right Start Inc. said it’s slowing its store expansion plans because it’s growing too rapidly. The Westlake Village-based children’s retailer said it will focus on improving its strategy and operating systems. Right Start, which operates 37 stores and a catalog, previously planned to open about 30 stores by next year. It currently has four stores under development. The company lost $1.7 million, or 21 cents a share, in its fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30.
