Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are seeking two men who fatally wounded a visitor to a Lancaster apartment complex last week.

Elbert Taesean White, 22, of Lancaster was shot about 10 p.m. Saturday in an apartment in the 300 block of Lancaster Boulevard, said Deputy Bob Killeen. White died later at a hospital.

White got into an argument with two men after going to the apartment complex and asking for a resident there, deputies said. A fight broke out, in which White was shot in the buttocks with an unknown type of firearm.

The wounded White appeared at the door of a house across an alley from the apartment complex, where the resident called 911, authorities said. He died just before 11 p.m. at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, possibly from internal bleeding from a severed main vein or artery, Killeen said.

He said authorities had not determined a motive for the shooting nor the relationship between White and the people in the apartment house--including the two men who confronted him.
