Cal State Northridge plays Long Beach State in a nonconference baseball game at 2 p.m. today at Matador Field.

Unranked Northridge (24-14-1) is expected to start junior left-hander Erasmo Ramirez (5-3). Junior right-hander Denny Gilich (2-2) is slated to start for Long Beach State (20-12), ranked 16th in the nation by Collegiate Baseball magazine and 18th by Baseball America.
