Fire Badly Damages Computer Store
Authorities are investigating a fire that left a Simi Valley computer rental and supply store with extensive damage Sunday morning.
Six engines and two heavy trucks responded to the one-alarm fire at JEM Computer Rental and Supply Store, 2480 Stearns St., about 6 a.m.
Authorities estimated the store sustained about $120,000 in damage during the fire. Investigators believe the fire started after a transformer on a power pole exploded and spread fire to the building.
No injuries were reported.
