ANGELS’ CHUCK FINLEY (0-0, 18.00 ERA) vs. BLUE JAYS’ WOODY WILLIAMS (0-1, 3.46 ERA)

* UPDATE: The Angels catch a huge break because Blue Jay right-hander Roger Clemens, 25-7 with a 2.37 earned-run average against them, will not pitch in Anaheim this week. There’s also a chance that Pat Hentgen, the 1996 Cy Young Award winner, might be scratched from Wednesday’s start because his wife had a baby over the weekend. Paul Quantrill or Paul Spoljaric would be the likely replacements. Toronto entered Sunday’s game with a league-leading 2.79 ERA, but the Blue Jays ranked 12th in the league in batting (.239). Finley, hit hard by the Yankees on Tuesday night, will make his second start of the season after missing several weeks because of a fractured facial bone.

* Tuesday, 7 p.m.--Allen Watson (0-2, 9.24) vs. Erik Hanson (0-0, 7.20.

* Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.--Mark Langston (1-2, 4.50) vs. Pat Hentgen (1-1, 3.94).
