Collision Takes Castillo Out of Game
Florida Marlin second baseman Luis Castillo appeared to lose a tooth after colliding with first baseman Jeff Conine while trying to catch J.T. Snow’s pop fly in shallow right field in the seventh inning of Sunday’s 2-0 loss to the Giants at San Francisco.
Castillo was replaced at second base by Kurt Abbott, and his condition was not immediately available after the game.

Phillie pitcher Tyler Green, on the 60-day disabled list with an inflamed right elbow, has been throwing on the sidelines.
He is expected to pitch two innings in the Phillies’ exhibition game against Scranton Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Atlanta outfielder Ryan Klesko was scratched from the lineup before a game against the Rockies at Colorado because of a stiff back.
