Degree Duo: Just a year ago, mother...

Degree Duo: Just a year ago, mother and daughter team Jo-ana and Monique D’Balcazar were graduating with associate degrees from Valley College. Now, Jo-ana, 35, and Monique, 16, are set to graduate Friday with honors from Cal State Northridge, both with bachelor’s degrees in speech communication. The Panorama City residents next plan to pursue either master’s degrees in public administration or law degrees.
