Assessor’s Office on Internet
The Los Angeles County assessor’s office has established a Web site on the Internet and offers a number of widely used forms and other information there. The Web address is https://www.co.la.ca.us/assessor/
Among the forms that can be downloaded and printed are the application for reassessment due to decline in value of a property (available Jan. 1 to March 15), claim for reassessment exclusion due to property transfers between parents and children, claim for a senior citizen’s transfer of base value, a preliminary change of ownership report and business and vessel property statements.
Not available on the site are assessed value/ownership/address data, property characteristics and assessment roll data.
