Smith Resigns as Girls’ Coach at Nordhoff

Jack Smith has resigned as girls’ basketball coach at Nordhoff High.
Smith, The Times’ Ventura County girls’ basketball coach of the year last season, said he is giving way to assistant Ted Cotti to concentrate on his job as Nordhoff principal.
“The girls deserve a full-time coach and I’d become a part-timer,” said Smith .
Cotti has been Smith’s assistant for two years and was previously boys’ basketball coach at Villanova Prep.
