DARE Officer to Speak to Community
Tom Monarch, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer for the Newport Beach Police Department, will address the West Newport Beach Assn. today.
Monarch will explain the well-known DARE campaign against drugs and the techniques used to convince children to avoid narcotics. Members of the general public--not just West Newport residents--are invited to attend.
A regular association-board meeting will follow.
