A woman suspected of selling methamphetamine is being held on $20,000 bail at the Sheriff’s Department Honor Farm in Ojai in connection with possession and sale of a controlled substance, authorities said.

Dianne Fields Northrop, 43, of Oxnard was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by sheriff’s narcotics agents at her home in the 5200 block of Wooley Road in Oxnard, said Sgt. Arnie Aviles.

Deputies received a tip that Northrop was selling methamphetamine from her home, and had been investigating her for three weeks, Aviles said. Deputies obtained a search warrant, and on Wednesday stopped Northrop in her car near her home.

She was arrested after deputies found her in possession of an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, Aviles said.

A search of Northrop’s home turned up materials used in the packaging and weighing of methamphetamine, Aviles said. The investigation netted 2 ounces of the drug, with a street value of $5,800, Aviles said.

Northrop was being held on suspicion of sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy, authorities said.
