I’m so glad to see that Robert Hilburn was able to reveal more about Oasis and the Gallagher brothers than the obvious (and all too often overplayed) disagreements within the band (“Oh, Brothers,” Aug. 17).
I was pleased to see a true portrayal of the real and imperfect relationship between Noel and Liam. Hopefully readers will see past the alleged arrogance associated with the band and accept Oasis for what they are: a great band that makes amazing music.

Hilburn’s fawning over Oasis borders on the nauseating. The topper is his assertion that Liam Gallagher turns heads with his “pinup good looks.” Liam wears sunglasses for the same reason Billy Joel does: to conceal his bugged-out eyes. And his brother Noel is even homelier. By no stretch of the imagination are the two even remotely good-looking.
