Police have arrested a man on suspicion of sexually assaulting two women after luring them to his van under the pretense of finding them jobs.

Juan Reyes Madrigal, 33, of Santa Ana was booked this week on suspicion of rape and attempted rape after Fountain Valley detectives saw that he and his van matched the descriptions given them by the two women, police said.

On Aug. 6, police said, Madrigal met a 25-year-old woman near McFadden Avenue and Sullivan Street in Santa Ana. He said he could help her find work and drove her to an industrial area at Talbert Avenue and Euclid Street in Fountain Valley, police said.

There, he said the Immigration and Naturalization Service was conducting a raid and told her to hide in the rear of the van, police said. He then raped her, they said.

On Aug. 18, he used the same ploy to assault a 30-year-old woman, police said.

Detectives are looking for additional victims.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at: (714) 593-4465.
