“New Art in China, Post-1989” opens Saturday at the San Jose Museum of Art and runs through Nov. 2. It is the only California venue for the traveling exhibit of about 80 paintings, prints, sculpture and other works--that opened--unsanctioned by China’s Ministry of Culture--in 1995 in Vancouver, Canada. . . . The Automobile Club of Southern California has been issuing a new “Guide to . . . “ series of travel planners for 10 California regions. Instead of having to pick up a map plus a separate guidebook, with information on lodging and points of interest, members can get one 4-inch-by-9-inch map that contains both. They are free to members, $3.95 for nonmembers. . . . Attention, sky-high rollers: Air France is offering “cut-rate” trips on the Concorde. Passengers traveling together can buy two round-trip tickets for $11,772 total--a savings of more than $5,000 off the regular price, the airline says. There are some restrictions.
